What is microneedling and what can it do?

I have a low tolerance for pain. What does microneedling feel like?

Your provider at me.losangeles aesthetics applies a numbing cream to your skin prior to your microneedling to minimize discomfort. The trained physician assistant and registered nurse at me.losangeles aesthetics performs microneedling using the innovative SkinPen®, the first FDA-cleared microneedling tool. 

Microneedling sessions at me.losangeles aesthetics take 30-60 minutes. 

You may need more than one treatment to get the desired results. Your provider at me.losangeles aesthetics may recommend one to three microneedling sessions every four weeks, followed by maintenance treatments once or twice a year.

What can I expect after microneedling?

You may have some redness and swelling immediately following your microneedling, but these side effects resolve within a day or two. There’s no need for downtime following microneedling, however.

You may notice improvements in the look of your skin soon after your first microneedling treatment. However, it takes time for your skin to rebuild collagen and elastin; final results may appear about three months after you complete treatment.
